This past weekend, the Lloydminster Tennis Association (LTA) hosted its highly anticipated Annual Fall Classic Tournament, running from Friday, September 20 to Sunday, September 22. Despite the cold mornings and rain delays that challenged the schedule on both Saturday and Sunday, the event was a resounding success.
We are deeply thankful to all the players who traveled from near and far to participate, bringing their passion and competitive spirit to the courts. The chilly mornings did nothing to dampen the enthusiasm, and the event proceeded with excitement as matches were completed throughout the weekend.
A special thank you goes to Rod, our Vice President, who took on the important task of coordinating the medals and providing delicious lunches for everyone in attendance. His hard work and dedication were key in making the tournament run smoothly.
Saturday evening saw a fantastic highlight with a sponsored Filipino dinner, generously provided by Tony Labrador. The food was a treat for everyone, and we are grateful to Tony and all the amazing individuals who prepared the meal, giving us an unforgettable culinary experience after a full day of tennis.
